It was 11:00am on Wednesday. I had just gotten back from picking up my tutu when my grandmother called about a tornado headed our way… one of many that day. We hurried to the basement and were soon joined by our neighbors. Our eyes were glued to the TV screen when the electricity shut off. We spent the
rest of the day in the basement, and , with the exception of 2 hours, without electricity. We still have no power. We had to empty the fridge (*) and throw everything away..
**insert good attitude**
God has a plan. God has a plan. I keep repeating this to myself. We still have plenty of water. We still have our house. And we still have our family. Sure, we lost several trees, and yes, it’s quite annoying to have no power, but God does have a plan. I’ve caught up on sleep, we’ve spent more time with the neighbors that we never see, and have learned to adapt. We are still so blessed.
Our hearts and prayers go out to those who were affected by these storms. <3
